Spring in My Step
04:12
|
|||
Spring is coming.
Still I think about her every single day,
And the numbing chill that broke my spirit
When she walked away.
The seasons went by in a blur.
One year of me and her,
Me and her.
She says that I will find another
But I don't want her sympathy.
I don't believe in fate,
There's no-one who'll recreate
The spring in my step when she's with me.
Every ending is another chance,
A chance to start anew
But I'm pretending to be fond of girls
Who can't compare to you.
No one-night stand can ease the pain
But still I try in vain,
Try in vain.
She says that I will find another
But I don't want her sympathy.
I don't believe in fate,
There's no-one who'll recreate
The spring in my step when she's with me.
But now I think of you instead.
Can't get you out my head,
Out my head.
We all need new beginnings now and then.
Just remember that Spring will come again.
Don't try to catch me while I'm falling.
I've never felt this way, believe me.
And now, I believe in fate
So don't underestimate
The spring in my step when you're with me,
When you're with me.

Sunrise
04:11
|
|||
All is right with the world,
I can't hide it, you're in my head
And she's long-gone.
Every night, you'll be curled
Up beside me, we'll stay in bed
'Til break of dawn.
Then we look out the window,
see the sun above the roof
And I feel like a king, I rule the world,
I'm bulletproof.
We'll still be here, ten years older,
Watching the sun rising over,
Rising over us,
Rising over,
Rising over us.
It's something I never planned,
But we pass all the summer days
Through thick and thin.
Now we lie hand-in-hand
On the grass, and we feel the rays
Upon our skin.
They say fortune favours the bold
But I don't think that's true.
'Cos I wasn't looking for the one
When I found you.
My stroke of luck, my four-leaf clover.
We'll watch the sun rising over,
Rising over us,
Rising over,
Rising over us.
You know I'll catch you when you fall.
It's the perfect match, it's the greatest love of all.
As seasons pass, as days grow colder,
We'll watch the sun rising over,
Rising over us,
Rising over,
Rising over us.
But every king must lose his crown,
And everything that goes upwards must come down.

The Fall
03:13
|
|||
I said, "What’s mine is yours’’,
But secretly I was hoping
That she’d remain a mystery.
And now..
When she relieves herself,
She leaves the toilet door open.
Romance is ancient history.
So I say..
My friends think we’re never gonna make it
But what do they know? They never try to take it
To the next level in a relationship.
It’s naïve to believe that you will never slip
Back into old habits,
Once the initial thrill is gone and you’re no longer at it like rabbits.
She’s always using my bathroom and the smell is appalling.
That doesn’t mean we’re falling..
We’re falling, we’re falling, we’re falling off the edge.
We’re falling, we’re falling, we’re falling off the edge.
Throughout those early days,
All conversations were easy
But now we hardly even speak.
And now..
Our sex life’s null and void.
She’s never willing to please me.
We only do it once a week.
So I say..
At the moment, it’s a tricky situation
‘Cos I’m relying on myself for stimulation.
You wanna talk about it? Maybe go on a vacation? Reignite the spark at an exotic destination?
She said, ‘’Are you taking the piss?
Once a week, I must endure thirty seconds of bliss
Before you fall asleep, so you should never blame me for this.’’
Don’t you, don’t you know we’re falling?
We’re falling, we’re falling, we’re falling off the edge.
We’re falling, we’re falling, we’re falling off the edge.
Where did it all go wrong?
We thought this love would last our whole lives long.
To be honest, I’m beginning to doubt
Whether you’re being truly faithful when you’re out and about.
And to make matters worse, when you thought you were alone,
I caught you on the sly, looking down at my phone.
I hope and pray that this is just a passing phase.
Paranoia will destroy us and it goes both ways.
Forgive me for the days when I’m feeling cynical.
Been on a downward spiral since we reached the pinnacle.
Our condition is clinical and I need to tell her.
She said, ‘’Were you expecting this to be like Cinderella?
Real life isn’t a fairytale. At your age, you should know it.
You should love me for my faults, but it’s rare that you show it.’’
I said, ‘’I still love you so much. Please don’t do this.’’
She said, ‘’The relationship’s stale. We’ve been through this.’’
I said, ‘’Let’s work on things, get away, have a day out.’’
She said, ‘’Don’t let the door hit your arse on the way out.’’

Cold
03:40
|
|||
How could you be so cold?
You've left me reminiscing
Remembering days of old
Those days that I am missing.
Now in my nightmares I see your face
Because you vanished without a trace,
Packed your belongings into a case.
You left nothing but footprints in the snow.
Now I lie here in bed
With the constant flashbacks of when I let you go.
Guess you're still in my head.
I'm not a perfect guy.
I know you had your reasons.
And baby, you and I,
We changed just like the seasons.
I ruled the world, I felt ten feet tall.
Through Spring and Summer, we had it all.
We were so happy until the Fall.
You left nothing but footprints in the snow.
Now I lie here in bed
With the constant flashbacks of when I let you go.
Guess you're still in my head.
We all need new beginnings now and then.
Just remember the Spring will come again.
(SPRING IN MY STEP intro music begins and fades out).
